Get unstuck!
People always ask how I get sh*t done. I’m flattered! But bridging the gap between an idea and a finished product takes a system—especially if you're unfamiliar with design thinking or are struggling to execute.
The Rapid Press Club is a 7-session workshop—hosted in NYC and online, either one-on-one or in small groups—led by me, Barbara Victoria, an interdisciplinary designer.
Using design thinking and creative coaching, I help you shape complex ideas into tangible outcomes.
What is design thinking?
As a creative mentor, I see design thinkig as a tool that helps you clear out questions and move from an idea to an outcome—or from an outcome to a fresh perspective.
Its non-linear stages are: Empathize, define, ideate, prototype, test
Design Thinking is a non-linear, human-centered method used to solve problems and make things. For example:
Writing a book
Making a career change
Conceiving a business
Making an app
Instead of treating design as visual styling, the framework treats design as a systemic process of observation, rapid experimentation, and iteration.
In The Design of Everyday Things, professor Don Norman defines design thinking as:
The process of discovering the real, underlying problem—not just solving the symptom you were given.
For me, design thinking is an amplifier for my students’ visions and a dance floor where they can feel free experimenting.
As long as you stay curious, design thinking keeps momentum on your side.
Have questions?
-
You only need a foundational grasp of digital tools to open Figma and Google Meet. I also expect my students to be curious, committed, and open-minded.
All professional backgrounds and age-groups are welcome!

The Rapid Press Club is a design thinking program—not a visual design or UI/UX course.
I created this creative coaching space to help makers, founders, students and professionals who started a project and got stuck along the way.
Grounded in human-centered design thinking frameworks, this workshop guides you through overthinking, whether you are launching an idea from scratch or taking a paused project over the finish line.

Design thinking is a human-centered, iterative framework used to understand users, challenge assumptions, redefine problems, and create innovative solutions. Rather than rushing to solve a problem as it is first presented, design thinking focuses on discovering the real, underlying human need behind it. Read The Design of Everyday Things by Don Norman to dig deeper!
My students have used it to make a career change, to write a book, to make their home more accessible and organized, to make an app, to open a business, to take a film from production to post-production, to open a small press, to create the concept a co-living service, and more!

That is up to you! The workshop is personalized, and we will discuss goals and timing during the second session.
The sessions take between 60 and 90 minutes and are every other week so that you have enough time to make progress.
I understand that life is complex and unpredictable, so I am as flexible as I can, but I also want you to make progress.
